About
Bachelor of Pharmacy is a Four-year undergraduate degree that teaches students about drug synthesis, dosage formulation, analyzing the chemical nature and preclinical testing of new drugs. Apart from the technical aspects of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Pharmacy also talks about marketing of pharmaceutical products and patenting of new drugs. If anyone aspires to be a Pharmacist today, it is mandatory for them to undertake this course so that they have thorough and in-depth knowledge of the science of medicine. The regulatory body for the program is the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), which is responsible for laying down all norms and regulations for the B. Pharm. course.
COURSE OVERVIEW
Bachelor of Pharmacy is one of the most preferred branches of Healthcare Professional courses. Four-year degree course in Pharmacy deals with various subjects that broadly include synthesis of drugs, formulation of dosage, their chemical composition, instrumental and preclinical analysis, testing of new drugs on laboratory animals, patenting of new drugs and marketing of drugs etc.
DURATION
This is a 4 year programme approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under regulations 2014 that is spanned across 8 semesters for regular students and six semesters for lateral entry students.
ELIGIBILITY
Aggregate 50% in HSC/ +2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Math and Biology as core subjects from any recognized board.
Lateral Entry: A pass in D. Pharm. course from any institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

- Pharmacognosy: Practical and analysis of medicinal plants, learn to identify the plant and its medicinal value.
- Pharmacy Practice Lab: To study clinical therapeutics and pharmacy practice.
