About the Programme

B.Sc. Data Science is a three-year UGC recognized undergraduate Programme offered by the Department of Computer Applications. This Programme is a study that deals with a large volume of data and its processing, analysing and visualizing the data using modern tool and techniques. The students can acquire the ability to develop strategies for large data handling and it provides tremendous career opportunities in the future for them.

The curriculum is uniquely framed to provide the theoretical and practical exposure in the field of Data Science. The course in the curriculum includes, Data Science Fundamentals, Data Analysis, Python For Data Science, Data Analytics Using R, Business Analytics, Data Handling And Visualization, Big Data And Analytics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Techniques And Tools For Data Science etc., The students will acquire the knowledge to process, analyse, improve and enrich the data to make informed decisions for the company.

Programme Structure:

• 6 semesters (3 years)
• Credit based
• Electives to be chosen in 3^rd, 4^th, 5^th and 6^th semesters
• Mini Project in 5^th semester
• Internship and Project work in 6^th semester

Eligibility Criteria:

A pass in 12^th Standard with Computer Science or Mathematics or Statistics or Business Mathematics courses.
