About the Department
The Department of Mathematics under the School of Liberal Arts and Applied Science integrates all the branches of Engineering and Science by imparting the knowledge of Engineering Mathematics at UG and PG levels. It comprises well qualified and experienced faculty members.
The objective of the department is to train students in the innovative field of Applied Mathematics inculcating the concepts of computing, optimizing, grouping, classifying, testing and applying various tools of Mathematics in the field of Engineering and Technology.
TThe Department has a Mathematics Club, which actively motivates the student to hone their Math skills and knowledge.
Math Curriculum is integrated with MATLAB to introduce programming concepts through engaging assignments and projects.

To be a worldwide Centre for Excellence in Mathematics and scientific computing for the growth of Science and Technology
Mission:
- Imparting of quality mathematics education and the inculcating of the spirit of research through innovative teaching and research methodologies.
- To achieve high standards of excellence in generating and propagating knowledge in Mathematics.
- To build a community that champions and promotes the mathematician in everyone.
Objectives:
- To cultivate an interest in Mathematics and nurture critical, logical and analytical skills
- To provide knowledge and make the students capable of formulating and analyzing mathematical models in real-life applications.
- To empower the students with the right set of skills that help them to shine in the industries.
